WORK EXPERIENCE

January 2021 - April 2021

NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT CO-OP INTERN, EATON CORPORATION

During the spring of 2021, I worked as a New Product Development Co-Op Intern for my second rotation with Eaton within the PCD division. I conducted holistic reviews of circuit breaker designs to improve product performance, safety, and production yields. As part of these reviews, I consulted with design, industrialization, simulation, production, and testing teams in China and the Dominican Republic. Additionally, I developed design for six sigma experiments and analyses to form correlations between product characteristics and operating performance, ultimately leading to design improvement suggestions.

August 2019 - December 2020

TEACHING ASSISTANT, UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH

I served as a Teaching Assistant for the Art of Making class at Pitt during 2019 and 2020. I met regularly with the professor to plan lessons and improve course structure. Additionally, I worked with students throughout the various stages of the design process, from problem discovery to presentation of a final prototype. During the summer and fall of 2020, I worked on a team with the professor and other TAs to reinvent how our hands-on design course might be taught remotely due to COVID-19, which was a significant challenge.

June 2020 - August 2020

OPERATIONS ENGINEERING CO-OP INTERN, EATON CORPORATION

In the summer of 2020, I completed my first co-op rotation with Eaton Corporation. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this rotation followed a work-from-home format. Nonetheless, I was able to improve quality, efficiency, and safety of manufacturing for the industrial vehicle clutch division and learn about concepts of lean, six sigma, kaizen, and root cause analysis.

May 2017 - August 2019

CADDIE, OAKMONT COUNTRY CLUB

As a caddie, I worked with other caddies to deliver exceptional service to club members and their guests, involving providing shot advice, carrying golf bags, and keeping clubs clean throughout a round.
